Saturday Workshop

We had a Tando clock workshop on saturday and the ladies were told to choose their own way of decorating the clocks but they stuck pretty well to the samples we had made, between them they chose the Carriage clock decorated in Graphic 45 'Ladies Diary ' paper and the Cuckoo Clock decorated steampunk style with Kanban papers, Sue chose the cuckoo clock with a bird paper. After the clocks were finished we gave them a large tag each to decorate with the scraps they had left, the pics show both these and the clocks
A good time was certainly had by all - Maureen

New Year....New Clock....

I've just finished decorating this Kaisercraft cuckoo clock, I used two 12x12 scrapbook papers, some acrylic paint , added a couple of punched out birds , a spellbinder flower and some Tim Holtz chain for the pendulum - i think i'm pleased with the final result  - Barry has a place for it in the shop window (i think!). Sorry about the shadows but the sun went away before I could get the photo taken!!

Happy Birthday Barjanb..............

What a great weekend long celebration for our first birthday, it started last thursday with a make and take day then went on to a demo morning and afternoon workshop with the brilliant Andy Skinner, the pictures are from the morning session, everyone mesmerised by Andy's various techniques.
Saturday was to have been an all day workshop with Clare Rowlands of Molly Bloom fame but infortunately she was ill so Barry and Julia put together a half day workshop ,still on the molly bloom theme, and everyone was happy.
Finally sunday and a full workshop for John Glossop and the ' Post Industrial Clock' i'm not even going to attempt to describe it  but I do know there are some photo's somewhere around so hopefully will post pics later.
In between all of the above we had a craft fair in the Baptist church hall, the switching on of the village christmas tree lights and a cheese and wine party in our 'workshop' with a beautiful celebration cake that was cut by Robert Adams of Create and Craft fame and Monica Winfield from Radio Leicester who had both 'opened' the shop one year ago.
So that's it a busy busy celebration weekend that was enjoyed by all.
 Bye for now.... Maureen

It's beginning to look like Christmas......

We've got the Santa's in the window surrounding the lovely new Stampers Annonymous stamps we just had in , funny thing is people keep wanting to buy the santa's etc.
There wasn't a workshop yesterday so two of the regular crafters came in and under Barry's eagle eye decorated the christmas tree in the workshop and a lovely job they made of it!!

We're back................

Apologies people for not having blogged for some time but Life and Holidays have rather got in the way, at BarjanB crafts we are busy preparing for our first birthday, in about three weeks, we have make and take days and workshops over three days then we take part in the village christmas festivities as soon as all that is over. I'm posting a card made using the lovely Indigo Blu christmas tree stamp - it  begs for glitter embossing powder to be used and really stands out well .
